Lead Pastor

Eddie and Malinda have been at ROL since its beginning in 2002. Together they served as Youth Pastors for 11 years. After the retirement of his parents and Founding Pastors, Rev. Paul and Mary Marcum, in January 2013, Eddie and Malinda accepted the position of Lead Pastors. Eddie is an ordained minister and Police Chaplain for Van Buren township. They were married in 1992 and have two amazing daughters, Felicia and Mirranda. Eddie loves the outdoors, coffee and football!

Assistant Pastor

Steve and Lindsay have been at River of Life since the beginning in 2002. Over the years they have held various positions and roles. They are currently serving as Assistant Pastors and Worship Leaders. Steve oversees our Directors Staff as well as various administrative duties. He is a Credential holder with the Assemblies of God and has a desire to help others grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and to serve the local church in any way he can.
They were married in June of 2000 and have four children; Joshua, Lydia, Isaiah and Josiah.

Malinda was saved in 1998 and has been passionate about knowing Jesus ever since. She and Pastor Eddie were married in 1992 and have two beautiful daughters. For a pastime, Malinda would choose spending time with her family over anything else. She will graduate in 2021 with her counseling degree.

Lindsay has been with ROL since the beginning in 2002. She has a passion for building healthy, godly relationships within ROLâs community of women. She is a wife, mother, and author. Lindsay is an extrovert whoâs never met a stranger. Since she has quite an adventurous nature, her favorite quote is, âTomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it yet.â -LM Montgomery.âTrust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.â Proverbs 3:5-6

Joe and Nancy were both born and raised in Michigan, where they were married in 1999. They are proud parents of Kennidy, Isaac, and Jackson. They began attending ROL in 2017, and both have a calling for music and worship. One of their favorite things is to vacation with family in the mountains. Joe and Nancy have a passion to see people connect in the church and put roots deep in the community.

Lindsay lives in Ypsilanti with her husband, Alanzo, and their son, Theodore. She loves teaching second graders at an elementary school in Canton. However, teaching in River Kids and seeing the Bible come to life with our group each Sunday is her favorite part of the week. Her hobbies include reading for fun and watching baking shows!

Felicia was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ at a very early age. She jumped into ministry with both feet, serving in Nursery at 12 years old. Her passion for ministry has developed and increased over the years, and she now serves in many different areas at ROL. She is the Social Media Director, as well as the Media Team leader. Professionally, Felicia is a full-time Social Worker. She loves coffee.

CaVar gave his life to Jesus at nine years old through the ministry of his parents, Bishop and Sis. Reid, leaders of the City of Faith Church of God, Bronx, NY. At age 12 he was baptized in the Holy Spirit, and since then has completely sold out to the gospel. CaVar holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University, and a Ph.D. from The University of Michigan. Professionally, he serves as the Senior Program Manager for UMâs Wolverine Pathways Program. His greatest purpose, however, is to serve the Lord in holiness and help others do the same.

Mirranda is a burst of energy and spark of joy that ROL couldnât do without. Saved as a child, Mirrandaâs passionate love for God shows in every aspect of her life. Mirranda was married to her Prince Charming, Tyler, in early 2020. She has been an ESL teacher for eight years, and just received her Masterâs of Education, TESOL. Mirranda also runs The Stream, ROLâs coffee shop, where all proceeds go to Missions.

Gary accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior in 1994. He and his wife, Mary, were married in 1987 and have 4 children and 5 grandchildren with one on the way. They love spending time with their family.
Gary has been attending ROL since 2017, although he has served in ministry in various positions since 1994. Garyâs passion is to encourage men in their personal walk with the Lord.

River of Life – Girls Ministries Director
Tanesha gave her life to God at an early age, but as life went on, walked away from Him. In 2014 she visited River of Life and in 2015 rededicated her life to the Lord, and has been attending ROL ever since. Sheâs married to Gerald and they have three beautiful children: Brittany, Maia and Gerald Jr. They also have five grandchildren.
Tanesha has been a teacher for 21 years.
