Dear, ROL Church Family:
At River of Life we want to care for our congregation in all respects, including the physical well-being of our community. To that end, we are asking you, our church family, to take precautions to keep yourself and others safe, especially in light of recent developments with the Coronavirus (COVID-19). At this point in time, there are confirmed cases in Michigan. While we do not have any confirmed cases here in Belleville we want to inform you of our readiness in preventing the spread of viruses.
At this time, our Governor has mandated the cancellation of public events and Sunday services of 250 people or more. So we have made some adjustments to comply with this mandate, but River of Life will have service this Sunday, March 15th at 10:30am. As a precautionary measure there will be no River Kids. Also, we are asking the elderly and immune compromised to please stay home and join us via live stream. We will continue to minister and reach out to our community during this time. However, your well-being and safety are of primary importance to us. Here’s how we are committed to keeping our campus clean and safeâ€Ĥ
-We sanitize highly touched surfaces before and after services such as doors, handles, tables, drinking fountains, check-in stations, and bathrooms.
-Our staff and volunteer teams are asked to wash their hands frequently and will stay home if they are sick.
-We have hand-sanitizing bottles around the campus and encourage their frequent use.
-We will continue to thoroughly sanitize all children’s toys and play areas. (This is a regular practice at ROL anyways!)
-We will only serve prepackaged food and snacks in our children’s ministries.
-When we have the time of greeting during services, we recommend you greet each other with smiles and waves instead of handshakes.
-We will be limiting access of the entire building such as bathrooms and unused classrooms, and will only be using the necessary space for normal operations of ministry. This is to reduce having to clean and sanitize the entire building weekly.
-We will not pass offering containers during our services but will have them available on the way out of the Worship Center. We recommend that you give your tithe and offering online by website/text/app. If you need help setting up online giving, please call the church office or visit our welcome center.

We encourage you to take every precaution to keep yourself and others safe. You can help stop the spread of viruses in the following ways:
1. Stay home when you or your family members are sick.
2. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
3.Cover your face when sneezing/coughing and get in the habit of not touching your face.
4. If you are returning from a high-alert area, we urge you to consider refraining from attending church events, classes, and services for the recommended 14-day time frame.
We must also remember that God has not called us to live in fear but in faith. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7 | NIV
Together, we have faith to receive everything that God has promised to us by His word. We will continue to experience a wonderful, Spirit-filled atmosphere at our services, and we look forward to ministering to you each week.
This is what we know at this point in time and will keep you updated as additional information becomes available from public health officials.
In the meantime, please go to: www.michigan.gov/coronavirus for the most current information.
